Notifications Overview

TrackLogy automatically notifies your customers when their shipment status changes. You control which events trigger notifications and through which channels.

Two Channels

Default Settings

ChannelDefault State
EmailEnabled — fires for in_transit, out_for_delivery, delivered, and exception
SMSDisabled — requires you to configure an SMS provider first

How Settings Are Organized

Notification settings operate at two levels:

Workspace level (/v1/notifications/settings) — Global on/off switches for each channel and trigger. These are the master settings for your entire workspace.

Store level (Store Settings in the dashboard) — Per-store email template customization, Brevo API key, sender name, branding, and per-status email enable/disable toggles.

For most setups, you'll configure workspace-level triggers once and customize per-store templates in the dashboard.

⚠️

WooCommerce stores are excluded from TrackLogy's notification system. WooCommerce handles its own customer email flow. If you're using the WooCommerce plugin, do not expect TrackLogy to send emails for those shipments.

Notification Flow

  1. Shipment status changes (e.g. in_transit → out_for_delivery)
  2. TrackLogy maps the status to a trigger event (e.g. shipment.out_for_delivery)
  3. If the trigger is enabled at workspace level, and the store has the corresponding status enabled in its email settings, a notification is sent
  4. For email: the customer's email must be set on the shipment
  5. For SMS: the customer's phone must be set, and the store must have a configured SMS provider
