Tracking API Store

A Tracking API store is the primary way to integrate TrackLogy with any platform. When you create this store type, TrackLogy generates an API key — use it to create shipments programmatically via the REST API, or create shipments manually from the dashboard.

Platform value: cloud

Creating a Tracking API Store

Go to Dashboard — Integrations — Connect Store

Log in to my.tracklogy.com (opens in a new tab) and navigate to Integrations in the sidebar. Click the Tracking API card.

Give it a name

Enter a descriptive name for your store. This name is used in the dashboard and in notification emails to identify which store a shipment belongs to.

Set a webhook URL (optional)

If you want TrackLogy to push real-time status updates to your server, enter a Webhook URL. You can also configure a Webhook Secret later from store settings. See Webhooks for details.

Save and copy your API key

Click Connect Store. TrackLogy generates a unique API key for this store. Copy it immediately — it will not be shown again. Store it in an environment variable or secrets manager.

⚠️

Your API key is shown only once. If you lose it, you can regenerate a new one from store settings — the old key will be invalidated.

Creating Shipments via API

Use POST /v1/api/shipments with the X-API-Key header and include store_name to route shipments to the correct store.

curl -X POST https://api.tracklogy.com/v1/api/shipments \
  -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "store_name": "my-store",
    "tracking_number": "9400111899223397910190",
    "tracking_provider": "usps",
    "customer_name": "John Doe",
    "customer_email": "[email protected]",
    "order_id": "ORD-5500"
  }'

If tracking_provider is omitted, TrackLogy auto-detects the carrier from the tracking number format.

Listing Shipments via API

curl https://api.tracklogy.com/v1/api/shipments \
  -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY"

Filter by store, status, or date range using query parameters. See the API Reference for the full parameter list.

Creating Shipments Manually

You can also create shipments directly from the dashboard without using the API:

  1. Go to Shipments → Add Shipment
  2. Select your store from the dropdown
  3. Enter the tracking number and customer details
  4. Click Save

Webhooks

Each Tracking API store supports webhooks. Set webhook_url and webhook_secret on the store to receive signed POST requests when shipment statuses change.

See Webhooks for the full payload format and signature verification examples.

Notifications

Tracking API stores support TrackLogy's full notification system — email and SMS alerts are sent to the customer when shipment status changes. Configure notification settings per store in Dashboard → Stores → Notifications.

SMS and email notifications work the same way for all Tracking API stores. Configure settings per store in Dashboard → Integrations → Store Settings.
