SMS Notifications
TrackLogy can send SMS notifications to customers when their shipment status changes. Unlike email, SMS is disabled by default and requires you to configure an SMS provider with your own credentials.
Supported SMS Providers
| Provider | Best For |
|---|---|
| Twilio | Global coverage, most popular |
| MSG91 | India-focused, high deliverability |
| Vonage (Nexmo) | Global, strong EU coverage |
| Textlocal | UK and India |
| AWS SNS | AWS infrastructure users |
Setting Up SMS
- Go to Dashboard → Store Settings → SMS for the store you want to configure
- Select your SMS provider
- Enter your provider credentials (account SID, auth token, API key, etc.)
- Enter your From number or sender ID
- Enable SMS for the statuses you want to send on
- Save settings
SMS notifications require the shipment to have a customer_phone field set. Phone numbers should be in E.164 format (e.g. +12125550100). Invalid numbers will silently fail.
Provider Credentials
Required fields:
- Account SID (from twilio.com/console (opens in a new tab))
- Auth Token
- From number (your Twilio phone number, e.g.
+12025551234)
Twilio supports nearly all countries. Verify your numbers in the Twilio console before use.
Per-Status SMS Enable/Disable
SMS can be enabled or disabled per status independently. By default all statuses are off. Enable only the ones that matter to your customers.
Recommended statuses to enable:
shipment.in_transit— Shipment picked upshipment.out_for_delivery— Out for delivery todayshipment.delivered— Successfully deliveredshipment.exception— Issue with delivery
